From Dr. Reg... how to earn a Black Belt in business / life

 

Hi Team,

 

In our martial arts organization, earning a Black Belt

means that you are a master of the basic techniques

of our style of martial arts.

 

When someone earns a Black Belt, it is actually the

start of their advanced training.

 

The mistake that most students make is that they

attempt to master advanced techniques before their

basics are strong enough to support them.

 

Many people are the same way in the way they handle

their business. They are jumping into advanced business

building techniques before their business basics are in

place and running properly.

 

For instance... I am in business with someone who is

constantly wanting to add things to their business like

lead capture pages, special reduced price membership

offers etc

 

(which can work for their type of business.)

 

But in this case... this person does not have all of his

basic standard operation procedures in place. He released

a lead capture page without having his follow up system

in place. He did the same thing with a special reduced

price sign up program. He released the program without

a completed follow up system in place.

 

Today... he is constantly wanting to jump into new ideas

(that many times goes against the advice he is receiving

from professionals) thinking that the new ideas will EXPLODE

his business. The reality is... there are many basic things

in his business that are not completed. And this is what

has been slowing down his business growth.

 

If you want to be the best you can be at anything in life,

master the basics first, then move onto the advanced

techniques one at a time.

 

Notice I did not say go through the basics. I said "master"

the basics before moving on.

 

Right now in Mentors Club we have associates who want

to jump into all forms of large group fundraising. Big corporate

advertising campaigns etc. yet... these people have not even

been through all areas of the Mentors Club back office. They

can't explain the difference between our mlm and non mlm

associate programs. They have not even learned the basics

of what Mentors Club is. And they are several hours of study

and memorization away from mastering the basics of what

Mentors Club offers and how they compensate people for

sharing Mentors Club with others.

 

What about you? Are you continually jumping into attempting

to perform advanced techniques in life before you have mastered

the basics?

 

Are you making sure that the basic systems of your business

are running smoothly before you start adding on? Or... are you

jumping around with new and advanced tools, promotions, adds

activities etc before you have a solid foundation?

 

Take a look at your basic Mentors Club business plan. (if you

even have one written down). Then make sure you have the

basic plan up and running smoothly before adding to it.

 

Don't add new advertising to your plan until you either have your

current advertising working for you. Or you get rid of the advertising

because it does not do what you expected/wanted it to do.

 

Don't go out and find new associates until you are sure that your

current associates do not need your help... or that they will not

work with you to build their business.

 

Don't jump into another mlm program until you have found your

2 personally sponsored members, helped them find their 2 each

and see that this will continue to duplicate without your undivided

attention.

 

Let me put this in a couple of more simpler examples to help explain

what I want you to learn from this email.

 

You don't learn a jump spinning back kick until you learn a back kick.

 

You don't play songs until you learn cords, notes etc.

 

You don't put icing on a cake until the cake is fully cooked.

 

You don't paint a car until the car is completely built.

 

You don't start running until you learn how to walk first.

 

In closing.... if you are one of the people who are constantly changing

your business operation before making sure all the basic operations

(Standard Operation Procedures) are running great. Stop right now.

Go back to the beginning of your business plan. Take care of all of the

loose ends. Then.. and only then... move on to more advanced tools.

techniques and activities. 

 

This is how you earn a Black Belt in martial arts, business, success,

relationships....life. Be a Master of Basics. Then... become a Master

of advanced techniques.
