Look For Leaders... Not Needers!

Hi Team,
 
Another BIG mistake most people make when they start building their network marketing business is to go out and attempt to rescue everyone they know who is in need of either money, their product or both. They tell themselves that they are going to help those people in need change their lives. They are going to get them into their business and using their product no matter how much begging, bribing, badgering it takes. Even if they have to personally go remove the remote control from their prospects hand and turn off their TV until they agree to join. They will save those people.
 
Next thing you know (normally within a couple weeks to a couple of months) that new Associate has quit that business they were excited about because no one will join them  :  (  So... they must not be cut out for this industry, or at least not for that particular company.
 
The problem is normally not the company. It's the quality of the prospects. When you first start building your business, make sure you go after Leaders.... not Needers. The people in need are in need for a reason. And no matter what Super Hero costume you put on... you are not going to save their day.
 
So.... take off that cape, put away the Super Hero spandex pants and make a new list. A list that is full of Leaders. People who really care about living a better lifestyle. People who are fun to be with and are social in nature. People who are determined to succeed in everything they do in life.
 
Think of it this way.... when you reach down to people in hopes of pulling them up.... most of the time they will pull your business down. If you reach up to people who are more successful than you and get them on your Team.... they will normally help pull your business up.
 
Once you have built a solid business foundation and have visibly improved the quality of your lifestyle, then you might consider pulling out your Super Hero outfit again and attempt to help people in need. But even then you have to be very very careful not to let those people start pulling your business down. You will be shocked at how quick your income can go from hero status to zero status when you start reaching down with your business again.
 
The key is to become so successful with your business that you can find other ways to help those in need besides attempting to get them to join your business with you and work their way up. So... build your business smart up front, change your own lifestyle. Then get creative on how you can help those in need.
 
Besides.. by being a Mentors Club member... you are automatically helping kids in need around the world. And as you refer Mentors Club to others and personally start making money through the referral program, you are automatically helping us provide more food, clothing, shelter & education to more kids in need.
 
So... go share Mentors Club with Leaders knowing that at the same time you are helping take care of needers. Be a cheerful giver by giving others the opportunity to change their lives while helping others at the same time.

Building your business with HBO?

Hi Team,
 
One of the most powerful but overlooked ways to build your network marketing / direct selling business is through HBO.... Home Business Overview aka Personal Business Review aka Home Business Briefing etc.
And it is one of the best ways to build your local Team that I mentioned in my last blog post.
 
Regardless of what you call it (I like HBO) it is sharing your product, opportunity etc with a prospect in your own home. This can be one on one or in a small group. This is not to be confused with a "Party Plan" which is an HBO kicked up quite a bit with extra fluff like games, food, gifts etc. (I will be going over "Business Parties" next.)
 
If you are not familiar with how to host a proper HBO... stay tuned for upcoming training from me. If you will follow my simple instructions... you will find out that not only is it easy, simple and fun.... it is also prosperous. Over the next few weeks... I am going to open up and share with you in direct details how I have built one organization of over 20,000 members and another with over 10,000.
 
Not only is my way of building cheap and simple... it is remarkably fast for those who follow it in great detail.

One of the biggest mistakes that most people make in the mlm / direct selling industry is that they start recruiting long distance before building a strong local Team. I won't go into all the details of why this is a mistake right now because it will be part of an upcoming training series.

One of the most important questions to ask....

Hi Team,
 
Since there are many ways to recruit people into a business like Mentors Club, there is one important question to ask yourself before starting sharing Mentors Club with others.
 
Is the successful way I am sharing Mentors Club with others, a way that most of these people can use as well?  In other words... can they realistically do what / how you are doing to build your business?
 
You see.... people usually believe that in order to build their business they must approach people the same way you approached them.
 
Chances are if your business is based on being able to spend a larger amount of money on advertising or it is based on your awesome sales skills, it is actually hurting your business. Most people will not spend large amounts of money in advertisement and they will not develop professional sales skills.
 
So... always ask make sure that you can teach your Strategic Partners to do what you do and that they are ready and willing to do it. If not.... change what you are doing. Yes... even if it works... find another way to be successful. You will thank yourself for it in the long run. And you will even be surprised at how you will still continue to bring in new members. And even more surprised how fast your Partners are bringing in new Partners. In other words.... they are duplicating.
 
This is a We Biz.... Not a Me Biz.... and it is about everyone doing a little. Not a few people constantly doing a lot. Go Team Bare Feet!

Why are you so prejudice against..... ?

Hi Team,
 
Last year I wrote an article about most people being prejudice. No not racial prejudice.. but prejudice in many ways.  Prejudice means to pre judge or in other words profile someone or something before getting to know the facts.
 
Let me prove it to you. Get something to write with and something to write on. then click on this link to watch the short video. Financial Planning Strategies & Sales Pro Training Calls Coming Soon.

This month Mentors Club Faculty member Joe Pantozzi will be returning to share more financial planning & asset protection wisdom with us. Joe's calls are some of the most requested by our members.

Tracking your business the write way

Hi Team,
 
One of the common problems I find with my coaching clients is a lack of proper tracking of their activities and results. And for those who do have some tracking in place... very rarely attempt to make adjustments in their activities to increase their results.
 
In other words... they just keep on doing what they have been doing and hoping they get better results. The reality is... they usually keep on getting the same results over and over. (and most of the time they don't like the results they keep getting)
 
If you want different results... you have to make changes in your activity. And if you are not tracking your activity and results... it is harder to make positive changes.
 
What about you? Are you keeping complete details of your Mentors Club business building activities? If not, why not?
 
At the minimum... you should have a journal of everyone you share Mentors Club with right down to the date and time. You should have a brief notes of what was said at that time. And what action the prospect took. If they joined... what did they like about Mentors Club. If they did not join then.. what they did not like about Mentors Club or what excuse they gave.
 
When a new Partner joins your Team, you should write down the date you contacted them to welcome them as a Strategic Partner, how you contacted them and whether or not the two of you started mapping out an action plan of working together. If you did start planning... write down as much details as possible. If you did not.. write down the date/time of the appointment you set with your new partner to go over this. Make notes from that conversation as you are talking with your Partner.
 
You will be amazed at how tracking action steps like this will not only improve your productivity... but also reduce the amount of stress you have about your business. The more things you write down.... the less things you will have bouncing in your head at night when you are trying to sleep.
 
When talking with your Team members... it is smart on your part to write down any personal info they share with you like how many kids do they have, ages, names etc. What type of hobbies they participate in. Favorite foods, movies, music etc. The more details you know about your Partner... the greater chances you have of building and maintaining a long term relationship.
 
So.... if you want to do business right... write things down :   )

Are bad habits keeping you from getting a pay raise?

Bad Habits in the Workplace...
 
Everyone suffers when someone on the job has bad habits in the workplace.  Bad habits can make for an environment that is unfriendly, unproductive, or even unsafe.  You can only correct your bad habits in the workplace if you recognize them. 
 
One of the most noticeable bad habits in the workplace is tardiness.  Some people just have a habit of being late to everything.  They are late to arrive, late back from break, and late back from lunch.  This not only puts them in jeopardy of losing their jobs.  It can affect the productivity of the whole crew or office. 
 
Absenteeism is another bad habit that people can fall into easily.  A new trend is to make all accumulated days off the same.  Sick days, personal days, and vacation days are lumped together.  You just have a set number of days off and it is up to you how you take them. 
 
The trouble with this system is that too many people have bad habits about using the days off.  They get used to taking off whenever they feel like it.  Before they know it, all their days off are gone.  Then, when they really have an emergency or illness, they have to miss work without pay.  In the meantime, their workload is being handled by someone else. 
 
People often have bad habits in the workplace when it comes to paperwork.  They do not do proper accounting on their expense reports.  They do not keep the receipts that are needed by their company.  They fail to keep mileage records on their company cars accurately.  This makes the company's accounting department have to work harder. 
 
Many workers have an aversion to doing paperwork at all.  They have bad habits of not filling out jobsite reports as needed.  If they do special business reports as requested, they may have bad habits about not turning them in on time. 
 
Clean work spaces can help people get more work done.  However, many people have bad habits when it comes to keeping their desks and offices neat.  They may have a certain kind of organization if they have stacks of papers on their desks.  Yet, if their desk is full of half empty pop cans and crumpled up fast food bags, it cannot help anything. 
 
People often get into the bad habit of losing things.  They may lose important paperwork.  The paperwork may be critical contracts for a major deal the company is involved with.  If your bad habits take over, you can cost the company everything. 
 
People in other kinds of jobs can get into the habit of losing tools.  They do not pay enough attention when they lay down their tools.  When they get ready to clean up for the day, they have no recollection of where they put a particular tool, if they remember using it at all.  This is a bad habit that amounts to laziness in thinking. 
 
If you want to make an impression at work, get a grip on your bad habits.  The way you work will be a result of the habits you bring to the table.  It is the good habits that make you succeed.
 
These same bad habits also keep people from having a successful home based business. This applies to those of you building a Mentors Club business as well. I just spent a week with several Mentors Club members who were not growing the way they should. Most of them suffered from a long list of bad habits.
 
Now here's the real deal... none of us are perfect. And we all have bad habits. The key is to constantly strive to eliminate them or at least keep them in check. And... make sure you have more powerful positive habits in place to counteract the habits you can't quit. The more bad habits you have.... the more positive ones you will need to develop.
 
Your Mentors Club Success Library is full of ebooks, audios and videos to help you replace your bad habits with the correct ones you need to succeed. So make sure you spend regularly scheduled time in your members area.

Making money with Mentors Club on Ebay?

Hi Team,
 
There are 3 ways to prospect for people to join your Mentors Club Team.
 
Find free prospects  - Pay for prospects - Get paid to prospect.
 
Yes... you can actually get paid to prospect for Mentors Club Team members. Ebay is just one of many ways to do this.  (Here's another way... you can put ebooks and audios on cd's and sell them offline too)
 
How?  Without going into deep detail (we will have private training classes on this soon) you can take several of the resell rights and plr products you have access to right now in your members area and sell them on Ebay. If someone is willing to purchase a product like the one you offer... chances are they will jump at the chance to have access to your complete Success Library.
 
And even if they don't take you up on your offer to join Mentors Club... you have still made money from them that you can reinvest into more marketing. This is still much better than buying leads that don't join your Team.

Avoiding Bad Habits

Hi Team,
 
Wouldn't it be nice if you could avoid bad habits instead of having to quit them after starting?  Unfortunately no one will avoid all bad habits.  There are just too many to stay away from them all.  Yet, you can reduce the number of bad habits you have to conquer. 
 
There are certain bad habits that you can avoid altogether.  Your body has no need for nicotine or tar from cigarettes.  So, if you do not take that first cigarette, you will never have to face the daunting task of giving them up.  It is well worth any social discomfort you might feel to dodge that bullet. 
 
Other bad habits are a matter of degree.  Your body needs food.  Many people realize that they will gain a lot of weight if they do not take action.  However, you cannot just stop eating altogether.  You could for awhile, but that would not be healthy either.  Instead you must find a way to limit yourself. 
 
To avoid the bad habits involved in letting yourself become overweight, you need to think differently.  You can do this by thinking of food as a special treat that you only get at certain times.  You can eat like a thin person-picking out the best part and leaving the rest.  There are a host of different thinking patterns you can take on to avoid getting fat. 
 
Not exercising is another of the bad habits that will make you gain weight.  You may know that you need to get up and move around.  You may have every intention to do so.  The energy does not seem to be there when you need it.  To avoid this bad habit, start slowly.  What you may not realize is that the energy will increase as your exercise increases. 
 
Bad habits of personal hygiene can be avoided by developing a positive routine.  If you fear going out in public smelling bad, you can make it a habit to shower every morning.  Shower more than once a day if the situation calls for it.  Brush your teeth and comb your hair.  If you are just starting out on your own, you could even make a list.  After all, you are probably past those teen years when everyone else made sure you were decent. 
 
Relationships are difficult enough without developing bad habits.  If you are getting married, make a point of discussing all the possible trouble areas first.  You can do this with a pre-marriage counselor or on your own.  Either way, it is good to learn how you each can contribute to keeping away the bad habits of jealousy or neglect. 
 
Many bad habits can be avoided if you will only consider the needs of yourself and of others equally.  Putting yourself first at all times makes you selfish and hard to abide.  Putting others first all the time just makes you a doormat. 
 
For every bad habit, there is a way to avoid it.  The trouble is that no one can be vigilant enough to control that many behaviors.  What is more, many bad habits start before people are old enough to think much about it.  If you want to, though, you can pass up some of them.

AA=MM

Hi Team,
 
April Activity = May Money
 
So.... if you want / need more money.... the longer you put off completing the activities you need to grow your Mentors Club business... the longer it will take you to make $.
 
Last week I was working with one of my personal one on one clients to go over his first quarter production. During this review... I discovered that one of the basic areas of his business was not where it should be. After masterminding the situation... he agreed to accomplish more this month... than he did the first three months combined. And in just a few short days... is already on his way to accomplishing this goal.
 
What about you? After reviewing your first quarter Mentors Club business building activities, are you satisfied with what you did or did not do?
 
If not.... I challenge you to accomplish more this month... than you did the last three months combined. :  )
 
At first glance... you might think that is impossible... and I am crazy. Whether I am crazy or not has nothing to do with this lol.  I know from experience that most of you reading this could actually double your activity and still have time to eat, sleep, watch tv etc.
 
Let me really step out on the edge and state that most of you could realistically accomplish more next week... than you did the first quarter. In fact... some of you could actually accomplish more this weekend than you did the first quarter.
 
You must really think I have a screw loose somewhere lol. Nope.... no screw loose. I just have a better understanding of your potential than you do :  )  And because I care about you... it is my obligation to bring things like this to your attention.
 
Now lets say for a minute that I am wrong (which I'm not lol) and this month you only end up doing half of what you did the first 3 months combined. That is still a huge improvement. So... you can only gain by taking me up on my challenge.
 
And if you are a super doubter in either your ability or mine as a coach.... I challenge you to pick one activity to accomplish this in. Remember.... what you do or don't do on a daily basis to build your Mentors Club business affects you and your financial future... So... do it for you. :  )

WOW! 1 down.... 3 more to go.

Hi Team,
 
Lets get straight to the point. The first quarter of this year is GONE! This means we only have 3 more to go.
 
So the question we need to answer is.....
 
If the next 3 quarters go like this first one... where will I be with my goals at the end of the year?
 
Success is obtained by making the right choices every single day. Because as you have just experienced, those single days turn into 3 months very quickly.
 
Today is the day to make any adjustments to your daily activities needed to get you on track for creating and living the ultimate lifestyle of your choice. You are not to dwell on past mistakes, but you are to look back and learn from it. So... before you go to bed tonight... review the last 3 months and write down all changes you will make during the next 3 months. Then start making those changes right away.
 
My prayer is that the next quarter will be a lot more successful for you than this first one.
