Unethical

Hi Team,

Are ethics very important in business? Yes! Having good business ethics will ensure that you will develop a long term business and sleep with a clear conscience every night.

In today's world, there are a lot of scams out there. Scams exist in many online ventures, network marketing/pyramid opportunities and many other dubious investment schemes. People are aware of scams today and it is harder to look for trustworthy partners in any business ventures.

People are afraid to get scammed. People used to say that there is a sucker born every minute. Today there is a sucker getting wiser every minute. They are weary of these activities and it is harder for them to trust even proper merchants who are dealing honestly. Hardly is there a day that less and less offers are being made without a 100% satisfaction, money back guarantee because people are afraid to buy your product because of the fear of scams.

In today's competitive world, people are tempted to abandon ethical decisions. They are pressured to conduct businesses in a shady manner and are ready to throw out the rules when they see an opportunity to make profit. They feel that nice guys finish last and will cheat when necessary.

These people are losing more businesses than they can ever imagine! First of all, they lose repeat customers because 'once bitten, twice shy'! By taking advantage of new customers and giving them poor value, they will never come back again and you have lost the lifetime value of a customer. The worst thing is, they will go around badmouthing you and your business will go down the drain.

The other reason why ethics are important in business is because of respect. No one respects a leader without ethics. When you throw your integrity out of the window, no one will listen to you. No one will do business with you. You become branded as an outlaw and no one will accept you as a joint venture partner. If you truly understand the speed of trust, you save a lot of time and energy from trying to gain the trust of others.

Above all, the most important thing you gain by practicing good business ethics is self-esteem. When you have a clear conscience, you fear nothing. You make very clear decisions and it puts you at ease. When you lie down at night, you can sleep well knowing that you did not cheat anyone and it gives you more energy for the next day.

It is a very clear decision that you must make at the start of any business venture. When you cultivate an ethical business culture, you can be sure that your followers are more likely to conduct themselves in an ethical way as well.
